During each betting round, a player can raise or fold. If a player folds, he or she loses the current bet. However, if the opponent raises, the player must call.

The straight is a sequence of five cards in sequential order. If there are two pairs, the higher pair wins.

The overcard is the highest card on the board. The joker is a special card that counts as a fifth card in certain hands. A hand with a joker is called an “AQ+” in poker.

The flop is a combination of three different suits. It includes a jack of diamonds, a queen of hearts, and a king of spades. The flop also reveals the king of diamonds’ profile.

The highest card gives the value of the hand. A pair of jacks beats a pair of tens. The straight flush is made up of five cards in the same suit.

The first betting round occurs before the flop. The second betting round takes place between the flop and turn. The third betting round occurs after the turn and river.

The ante is a bet, usually $1 or $5, that is placed in front of a player before the cards are dealt. Stakes vary by game type. In most games, the blinds and antes are dealt to the player left of the dealer. Typically, only the first player to act has an obligation to make a bet. The dealer will deal two cards to each player.
